Digital Interactive Notebooks
If you've not yet visited the Ditch That Textbook website, you really need to do so. Matt Miller is never in a shortage for practical classroom ideas. He doesn't disappoint this time either. Matt highlights some great ideas in this article, including the following:
Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt Creator
Now this sounds like a lot of fun! Goose Chase offers teachers a platform for creating digital scavenger hunts. The user creates a "game" and then populates the game with "missions." The missions are then delivered to the students via a code. The game can be password-protected if you choose and one little note to think about...the free version allows users to set up the missions for either individuals or a maximum of three teams. There are some powerful classroom implications here, so I encourage you to have a look at Goose Chase. Watch the tutorial video below for more info.
Please take the opportunity to learn about Gabriel Carrillo. Instructional technologist, podcaster, and former Arizona teacher of the year, Gabriel Carrillo brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Be sure to follow him on Twitter, and catch his podcast, EdTech Bites.
